Adam Christy is a filmmaker and founding member of Dreamroom Pictures. Beginning with little more than a Hi8 camera and his friends in middle-class suburbia, he started making films as a kid, attending Filmsters Academy in Annapolis, Maryland at 14. His self-produced shorts and sketches as a teenager earned him a university scholarship, where he met several of the collaborators he continues to work with today.

After winning Best Actor and Best Picture simultaneously for two of his films at AT&T’s Nationwide Campus MovieFest in 2008, Adam relocated to Los Angeles. Since then, he has written and directed work across film and television, including short films, original series concepts, and multiple feature screenplays.

His short film Young Liars, executive produced by Kevin Yorn, was awarded Best Short Film at the 2018 H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival. Adam is currently directing Built From Scratch, a feature documentary following acclaimed chef Phillip Frankland Lee and the world surrounding his relentless pursuit of culinary greatness. Years in the making, the film examines ambition, identity, authorship, and the cost of becoming exceptional—before turning the camera back on the filmmaker himself.
